I finally had the stitches taken out of my eyelid, but I am still having complications with my eye. There is a slight double vision issue going on, that I can only describe as taking a printed piece of paper, and laying the same printed material on clear plastic over the top, then slightly shift the plastic so that you can still read the printed material, but it’s slightly skewed.

The wound itself also has some scar tissue build-up so that I feel as if there is always something pressing against my eyeball, which I guess technically is very true.

I have yet to visit with the ophthalmologist to assess if there is going to be any permanent damage. Several calls to the local hospital have resulted in absolutely nothing as far as setting up the appointment goes. I am pretty sure that I will be seeing him/her pretty soon, as I have managed to get an appointment with a very well-known lawyer here in town to discuss whether or not I have a case against the company I got my glasses from. If I have a case, then I am definitely going to need to know if there is going to be permanent damage.

So that is where I stand now. A bit in the void as far as a lot of things are concerned.
