Toshiba Laptop

My first two weeks of school have proven to be a bit on the frustrating side. There are not enough public computers on campus for everyone to use, and I realized that I would need to have a computer of my own, but had to wait until the financial money came in to get one. Financial aid would not get to me until sometime in October, so I figured I would have to wait until then to get myself a laptop for school.

That is, until this afternoon.

I had to get some folders for class, so I went to OfficeMax. While I was there, I decided to take a look at the computers and discovered that they had their assortment of computers on sale. And the laptop you see in the photo is now being used to write this post!

It’s a Toshiba Satellite L655D. It has an AMD processor, 250 Gigabyte hard drive, 3 Gigabytes of RAM, a 15+” widescreen, and a number pad! It came with Windows 7 Home Premium, an ATI Radeon video card, a webcam, and whole bunch of “bloatware” software, which I am slowly getting rid of.

But it was the price that sold me! $379.99! On sale from $499.99.

It’s not the best computer in the world, I know, but now I will be able to sit in the library at school and do what I need on the computer without having to stand around waiting for someone to get off one of the public computers.

Click on the picture to get your own new Toshiba from OfficeMax! From what I can tell, it will be on sale until 4 September 2010 (though the guy I spoke with at OfficeMax did say that the sale was to end tonight in the store).
