…before I shut down the computer and pack it away for my trip tomorrow.

I was asked via email if I was going to be doing anymore podcasts. At this time, I am not planning on doing so, as I feel that boring all of you to death is a crime against humanity.

That being said, I have not completely ruled out the idea of doing more podcasts, just that I do not want to do them right now.

In order to bring them back, I really need to sit down and figure out what the main theme of the podcast is going to be. After all, you listen to a podcast because you are interested in the topic the podcast is about. Listening to some shmuck babble on about the news of the day, or rant about something that is completely off-topic, or just generally boring the hell out of you does not make for a good podcast.

So, once I have decided on what I truly want the podcast to be about, I will entertain the idea of doing them again, hopefully with someone else who is interested in doing it as well.

What I do know is that i am planning on doing more writing this summer, so my podcast may end up being more along the lines of audio books, rather than rants and raves and news of the day and school.

Have a good night, and I will post again soon! (Wow, I have posted more in the last 4 days than I have in month’s! I am supposed to be on vacation!)

Just got the electricity back on after a small power outage here in town.

Having a power outage in itself is not exactly weird, but it was the way it happen that was weird.

My computer is open, with a fan blowing on it because it gets so hot that I need the extra fan to keep it cool. Well, this fan suddenly sped up then stopped. I thought maybe it had died, but then the podcast I was listening to on my computer stopped. Then the lamp behind me went out, then the computer shutdown, then the monitor shut down, and finally the fluorescent lamp on my desk slowly faded out.

It took about 15 seconds for everything to shut down/go out. It wasn’t like a typical power outage where everything just goes down. This was gradual.

And it wasn’t as if I immediately knew there was a power outage. Because things went off one by one, it was as if someone or something was just turning stuff off.

So I went outside and walked down the street a little to see if the stop light around the corner was working. Sure enough, as I got to the corner, the light was lit, but the red light slowly dimmed and went dark.

It was like the whole town was slowly going to sleep!

About 10 minutes later, the power came back on all at once. It didn’t wind up like it went down. More like someone threw a switch and said “Let there be light!”

That is the strangest power outage I have ever gone through.

School has been rather intense, what with a lot of homework and such to do all the time.

And then there’s the fact that I have been way too lazy to write on the website. By the time I am done with my homework at night, I am too exhausted to try to write anything.

But as I just updated my information with my site provider, I figured I would take a few minutes to at least write a post and let the world know that I am still around.

Add in some computer issues I was having (and am still having) and you see that why I haven’t posted in a while.

And while a lot has happened since my last post, I am not going to take the time to actually try to write it all out.

I will say, however, that after finishing my essay for my English class, I am so sick of hearing and reading about the economy of the United States that I want to puke! The bad part about that is that I have an economics course as well, so I am learning more about the economy three times a week! LOL!

I am having a blast in my accounting classes, though. I aced the last test we had, and it is actually kind of fascinating what accounting really is and how it works.

I am acing my algebra class as well, with a grade so far of over 100%.

My biggest issue class, the one I am doing the worst in (with a B grade) is psychology. I just don’t like it. It bores the hell out of me. Not the class itself, but the subject. It’s really enough to make me fall asleep as I am trying to read my homework.

The bookstore will buy back books, but I honestly think I am going to keep my psychology book because if I ever need something to put me to sleep I can open it up and try to read a few pages. It’s put me to sleep before and it’s faster than any sleeping pill!

I have a lot of homework this weekend, of course. I have 4 chapters to read in economics, a chapter to read and note sheet to create for accounting, and four or five homework assignments for algebra to get done, plus some psychology reading and studying to do. For English, I have some articles I need to download and read in preparation for the final exam.

That’s another thing…

Finals are coming up, so I am going to busy trying to study my ass off to make sure I get decent grades on my tests.

Anyway, I have so much to do that I had better stop this post here and get to my homework!
